Player Ratings Roller Coaster Ride v Villa Guendouzi Motm

What a game. Awful, awful first half where Arsenal looked useless going forward and clueless as ever at the back, finding ourselves 1-0 down and a man down at half time.

Shortly after equalising the Gunners found themselves behind again after more pathetic defending, but showed great fight to equalise and win it late on.

Showed great character to come back, and normally I'd think such a result could ignite our season, but the players didn't look like they wanted to play for Emery again in the first half, so I'm not confident.

Think we all know what needs to be done. Maitland-Niles (who'll be suspended anyway), Sokratis and Xhaka all being dropped. Will it happen?

Ratings:

Leno - 6. Don't think he could've done much more about their goals.

Maitland-Niles - 3. Think today summed up what has been a poor start to the season. Been handed a big opportunity in Bellerin's absence and hasn't taken it.
Sokratis - 4. The bloke is an embarrassment and needs dropping.
Luiz - 5. Beaten too easily at the near post in a fashion far too similar to Mustafi.
Kolasinac - 5. Thought he made a few good recoveries, particularly in the first half, but they all came from him being caught out of position in the first place.

Xhaka - 4. Passed the ball well enough but that doesn't mean much. Our midfield looked much better after he went off.
Guendouzi - 8. Lost McGinn for the opener but was without doubt the driving force in this comeback. Played a part in both equalisers. Impressive at 20 and some of our more senior players should be ashamed.

Pepe - 6. Poor first half but looked better in the second half. Opened his account for the club. Let's hope there are more to come.
Ceballos - 5. Always looked like he wanted to try and make something happen, but didn't actually do much. Not really stood out since the Burnley game.
Saka - 6. I thought he was our only player who turned up in the first half and should feel unlucky to have been subbed at half time.

Aubameyang - 6. Cut a frustrated figure for most of the game. Missed a good chance but won it late on with an excellent free kick.

Subs:

Chambers - 7. Scored and did well after he came on. Very happy for him as I feel he's been unlucky not to have played more.
Willock - 6. Showed energy and drive when he came on.
Torreira - 5. Similar to Willock.
