I'm kinda getting the hang of Facebook, it's more interactive than Myspace. Twitter on the other hand can be boring though. I just use Twitter to share stuff, or get the latest news before they appear other places online.

celine dion
10/11/2009 19:56
I'm sort of wondering about getting a twitter account. I mean, its one more way of talking sh*t to people I dont really know, so that's got to be good.

But one thing, I thought you had to pay to join twitter, or has that stopped now and they just get revenue through advertising like facebook.

Also, how does it actually work. Where do your 'tweets' actually go? how do you get 'followers', and how do you know that they are following you?

sorry about all these questions but I cant be arsed to read their website theres too many pages.

Exactly. I started Facebook and ended up wasting whole days chatting rubbish. I cant afford to get addicted to Twitter.

Think I might check it out soon though.

By the way I cant find BorisMellor, which is the main reason I signed up. I don't think your on there mate. My only twitter friend or whatever they are called, is a wine warehouse belonging to my mate, so all I have is a long list of things about wine.

Well, its my second day of Twitter and its just as sh*t as yesterday. I've got a load of stuff about wine still, some comments about going shopping in Covent Garden by Stephen Fry, and I have been through the recommended threads and read some very badly spelled comments about their explicit sexual preferences by some American people. Plus there's all funny URLs and @_ kind of stuff everywhere what I don't understand, and I still cant find Boris Mellor despite having tried every conceivable spelling and spacing of his name.

I asked some people from work what I should do with it and they recommended I 'followed' Joe Lovejoy. Well thats the icing on the cake as far as I am concerned. I detest that man with a passion, the thought of his crass comments appearing on my mobile phone unrequested, makes my blood run cold.

Twitters got till the end of the week to get better or I'm coming off it.

Can someone just clarify this for me, is Twitter a place to follow the posts of people like P.Diddy and Britney Spears? Can't really see myself bothered to follow someone else's posts day after day.

Or am I mistaken?

Well, I know that piece of 'twitter' news about Carlo Cudicini already Padre, for example it was on this actual website about 10 hours ago.

But lets persevere with 'twitter', I feel today that I have won a small 'twitter' victory now that I have been able to follow you. Now my news thread is not exclusively about wine.

What about just making up loads of football related news. That would probably get us both a lot more followers.

By the way, 'the core' has no relevance, it is simply a bad science fiction film that I watched on Wednesday night. I had to put it as my update because I had done nothing else all day.

Padre Pio
12/11/2009 22:30
Well I put Cuddicini on because I hadnt any other news all day.

Anhow Curbs is on More4 at 10;40 so bowlocks to Twitter unless Stan Kroenke buys the club before midnight.

Once I get used to it I will notify of any breaking news - but havent linked mobile to it. Thats the next stage.

I feel encouraged today Padre, I am enjoying twitter a little bit more than yesterday. i have found some French football websites, who are determined to update me about their latest news. that should get rid of the 'wine updates'.

by the way i tried to answer your 'direct question' but twitter got angry with me and would not post my response. It clearly has a lot of bugs.

If it was about the film I got it ok, but there are lots of bugs. URLs dont seem to work

No the film comment was just a random thing to see if it worked. You asked me a 'direct question' (who was I on here, I think it was) but when I attempted to answer, it told me off with a huge banner at the top of the screen. Then 5 minutes later, it let me answer you about something else. Seems to be lots of rules and bugs.

That said, I like twitter now. Did you Antonio Carluccio the famous and overweight Italian TV chef is currently flying from Dublin to Amsterdam to meet some friends?

Padre Pio

Yes join the twitter revolution Mike its like a party on the computer. At the moment its mainly me and Padre telling each other what we are having for lunch, but I'm sure theres more to come. Everybody else I have told to follow me from like, real life, have told me to f*ck off.

It was quite handy yesterday, actually, when I was desperately trying to find out how badly injured RVP was, I looked at the tweets from people in Holland, put them into a Dutch/English translation engine, and found that they didn't know that much about it either.

Also you can 'follow' famous people, largely so far it appears that their lives consist of getting on and off planes.

I am 1burnm, by the way, should you decide to take the twitter plunge. If I can get 2 followers I will go to bed a happy man.

The CEO's of FACEBOOK are ex members or linked indirectly to DARPA, LOCKHEED MARTIN and the CIA.

Remember that LOCKHEED MARTIN spied on UK CITIZENS, they got no more than a telling off but then did a deal with the BRITISH government in order to get the information they required anyway via the census which they won a 150m pound contract for.

They knew better than to send those forms applicable only to a "person" to a man with an unrebutted affidavit served on the lord chancellor whom has reclaimed his estate which was fraudulently held over by trespassers at a municipal corporation which attempted to treat the principle beneficiary as witnessed by the certificate which created the trust and without full disclosure, as a trustee based upon their own statutes and the maxim that: An unrebutted affidavit stands as the truth in commerce and law.

Be very careful indeed because they will use this information in order to round people up after the chemtrails have weakened your immune systems, the plague is released and marshal law is enacted by neo @#$%&'s on English soil.

I would say that we have 2 maybe three seasons left, lets hope we win something.

I`m probably the only real cave-man on here, as, although I own 3 mobile phones, all given to me as presents, they sit in a draw at home and I have never used them.

I am the only person I know who does not use a mobile phone. Both my parents, in their 80s, use them, but not Weedz.

Reason? I`ve never had to.

So thanks Padre, but I won`t be using your Twitter acc. I`ll stick to chiselling in stone, Buddy.

Since the end of WW1, 1919, when the FA restarted its 4 tier football league, with Arsenal fc in the 1st div, there’s only ever been one club to have never been relegated from Div 1/ EPL.

Arsenal fc

Let’s keep making history
