First English club to win at the Bernabeu

Now that Arsenal have completed their 2000 game at home Arsenal Times launches a page dedicated to statistics about our great club. It will not be done in any particular order and not comprehensive. However Arsenals game against Real Madrid requires an urgent updating of the record page so here it is.

Tuesday 21 February Arsenal became the first English team to beat Real Madrid at the Bernabeu.

On the same night Henry beat Cliff Bastinís all time record of league goals scored, of 150 in total, by scoring his 151st. On the following Saturday he became the first Arsenal player ever to score 200 goals in all competitions
