Ceballos MotM? Good Win v Burnley

Arsenal played some good stuff at times, with the playing out from the back stuff making us hold our breath at other times. Didn't really look comfortable dealing with balls into the box and were slow to react to the second ball.

Ceballos was excellent and I liked that midfield three, but wouldn't fancy them defensively against a better side. Not a fan of us shoehorning Lacazette and Aubameyang into the same XI like that, although both scored today so what do I know? If we HAD to play them both, I'd prefer Aubameyang on the left instead of the right.

Good win overall.

RATINGS:
Leno - 5. Didn't look comfortable with those balls into the box.

Maitland-Niles - 5. Thought he was okay on the ball and was an option going forward, but wasn't great defensively and McNeil had a lot of joy.
Sokratis - 6. Okay.
Luiz - 6. Can't really fault his work on the ball but could've done better on Burnley's goal.
Monreal - 7. Always made himself available going forward, especially in the first half where he was our best option.

Ceballos - 8. Excellent dribbling, hard to knock off the ball and worked very hard without it. Like a one-footed Cazorla but with more of an engine. I am impressed.
Guendouzi - 7. Thought he did well. Good on the ball and like last week he showed more willingness to be involved defensively. Could've scored.

Aubameyang - 7. Not in his best position on the right but always looked dangerous. Better in the second half coming from the left/ up top. Match winner.
Willock - 7. Looked good either as our furthest forward midfielder or deeper. Good passing.
Nelson - 5. Game passed him by a bit but did have a great finish disallowed for offside.

Lacazette - 6. Turned his man to score excellently, but was pretty quiet otherwise.

Subs:

Pepe - 6. Had some moments but doesn't look sharp yet.
Kolasinac - 5. Tightened things up.
Torreira - 5. Involved.

I thoght he had a good game too, fans down at the Bank afterwards were very enthusiatic about him.

- until Wenger moves on, they'll always be the also-rans in the major competitions. A club in elite purgatory. Always good enough to make it to the big race, never fast or smart enough to push over the finish line in first place. That's all about the manager. Until he changes, Arsenal fans will continue to celebrate glorious failure.

I can't believe people were saying Ceballos is a downgrade on Ramsey. You can see after 1 game he's a huge upgrade on him in every aspect.

Yes as I said earlier, Ceballos is not bad.

He will improve too. You can see he's not 100 percent fit yet.

I reckon he'll end up joining next summer.

Ceballos was the player I was most excited by when we signed him. He is not very strong but he has an awesome engine, is very skilled and will do anything to win.

Willock is looking like he will be playing a lot for the first team this year. Very composed on the ball for a kid so young. Smart passing and positioning defensively too.

Leno is a liability and unsettle the defence with his flapping.

Worse, he lacks communication and poor reading of the game in the box with his team mates like his delay reaction to collect the ball when Torreira shielded it and invited him to collect it.

I rate Fabianski and Szeczency better than Leno. At least, both of them would have collected more hanging balls, flapped less than Leno against Burnley.

DEFENCE and MDIFIELD is still disorganised with Burnley winning virtually all 1-on-1 headers in the box. Worse, virtually all 2nd and 3rd balls from knock-down in the box and in midfield.

Imagine Liverpool and Tiny Totts with far more superior players than Burnley winning all those knock-downs in the box and in midfield.

Ceballos really impressed me considering Burnley is a physical side.
