Thank god this dreadful season is over. Pepe MotM again

Thank god this dreadful season is over.  Am happy we missed out on the conference league as now we can concentrate on the league and cups next season. Incredibly we haven't had one Saturday game this season, that will change next season.

Leno- Not much to do but 1 long range shot-6

Chambers- Defended well but didn't offer much going forward-6

Holding- Had a good game but Brighton weren't very threatening-7

Gabriel- Same as Holding-7

Tierney- Put a few good crosses in which no one attacked- 7

Partey- Much better and was unlucky with a great strike-8

Xhaka- His influence on our team can't be underestimated- he's our most important player and showed why again today-8

Pepe-Another MOTM performance.  Showed what he can do when given a run.  2 more great finishes-8

Odegaard- Poor on the ball but worked hard-6

Smith Rowe- Same as Odegarrd-6

Auba- Time to go.  His performances was once again abysmal.  Didn't work hard and is scared to go near defenders-1

Saka- NA
Laca- NA
Martrinelli- NA

He just smashed it to the area. I don't class that as an assist.

So do you count Pepe's first goal which he just smashed into the net? (Sm128)

Chambers passing infield is better than any other full back at arsenal since monreal, cole and lauren.

He found Odegaard numerous times in the same way in the hole.. Bellerin does this decently well, but nowhere near as good as Chambers. Chambers' vision for spaces is more like an average CM than a FB, which is still better than most FBs.
His pbm is his severe lack of pace and why he can't overlap. He still puts in better crosses than players like Nelson.

Odegaard also got an assist, not sure you can say he was poor on the ball. Instrumental in both goals.

Odegaard was the best overall footballer this season is for us inspite of playing only half of it. His vision, decision making on when to hold the ball and release, dragging defenders towards him and then releasing the wingers, defensive positioning and first touch are all top class.
Notice the amount of times pepe gets one on one inspite of teams having two defenders there, because Odegaard delays the pass just enough to draw one of the defenders attention towards him, before releasing pepe /rb/whoever is on the wings.

There is absolutely no one in this team that has the intelligence or the ability to time passes like that. Odegaard is the closest thing to cesc we have had since he left. This includes both cazorla and ozil, who were special but very different players.
You would have to think he watched players like cesc, xavi, pirlo etc a lot when growing up.

Holding - 5

Average championship defender, misread crosses, balls got behind him easily, poor man-marking, should be sold.

Chambers - 7
Easily best RB now and comfortable cutting in-field to link-up plays and I believed was in the team as Arteta was impressed by his crossings.
Barring Tierney, nobody in the team crosses the ball from the bye-lines as well as Chambers, and that included Saka and ESR.
His crosses were all dangerous and it is up to forward to latch onto it - pity it was Auba, that Cowardly Lion, never in the box.

Chambers is good back up for C/back or R/Back nothing more.
Sell Holding.

He lost the ball a lot. 1 good pass doesn't change that. It was a very easy pass too.

I think Odegaard is not suitable for EPL with its physicality and sheer intensiveness and Football at 100mph with EPL teams lobbing balls to bypass our midfield to attack our exposed Back-3 or Back-4.

I would rather stick with ESR, Saka, WIllock, Azeez, Elneny and Partey now.
it is Arteta's job to get the best out of them.
Our creativity comes from the flank with the likes of ESR, Saka, Martinelli, Pepe, Tierney and a RB that can swing in accurate crosses and through balls.

Xhaka?
I think he will leave this summer while his stocks are still high.

Crazy rating for Odegaard - almost every rating I have seen from other websites has him right up with Pepe. Even Graham Potter singled him out as our best player.

A few forward passes and people are getting excited. He has to do far more to convince me that's he's good enough. He's nowhere near someone like Ozil level.

Since the West Ham game he's done nothing of note.

He lost the ball too often yesterday and am not interested in other journalist ratings. Their bias towards English players made me not read any of the ratings years ago and most of them are generally clueless!

Yup.
Odegaard is like an over-rated Pepe.
Fans are getting wet simply Pepe is in a scoring mood, like Laca previously in a scoring streak.
