Player Ratings Arsenal v Sheff U Some Positives Same Failing

United started off much better before we found our feet and started to control the game a little bit. Scored right at the end of the first half and were comfortable for most of the second half. Again, like against Palace we were so comfortable yet didn't create enough chances, and United equalised late on. Not good at all. Saka and Martinelli were the only positives (perhaps Pepe's continuing improvement. Ed)  as far as I could see. One 18 year old setting up another.

RATINGS

Leno - 5. Nearly got closed down twice. Got nowhere near McBurnie's header but fortunately Xhaka mopped up. Couldn't do much about the goal.

Maitland-Niles - 6. Okay but not as standout as he has been. Really could've done with some help for the equaliser as they had three players queuing up at the back post.
Mustafi - 6. Shaky start but overall not bad.
Luiz - 6. Not bad apart from that header he didn't even jump for.
Saka - 8. MOTM. Assist for our goal. Showed drive, skill, strength, determination and confidence throughout.

Torreira - 7. Fighter. Glad he made a quick recovery.
Xhaka - 5. Okay I guess but still some of his decisions are bewildering. Tried to be clever and pass the ball between two players, which didn't work and resulted in him having to clear a header off the line, then conceded an absolutely mindless foul at the start of injury time.

Pepe - 7. One of our better players early on. Showed great feet but had faded by the end.
Ozil - 6. Didn't see much of him in the first half. Better second half as he tried threading things together.
Martinelli - 6. Missed two good chances before scoring. Could question his decision making at times but his movement and work rate are always spot on. Only player other than Aubameyang who looks like scoring so he HAS to stay in the side.

Lacazette - 5. Did well for our goal but that was about it. Unable to trouble any defenders physically and looks really unfit.

Subs:

Nketiah - 5. Got involved as soon as he came on.
Guendouzi - N/A. Not on long enough
