Sun Apologises over Galli

After Arsenal Times exposed the Sun for its despicable inclusion of Niccolo Galli in a "miss list" one fan has received an apology from the Sun (he wishes to remain anomynous). The apology was received after hundreds of fans from websites all over Britain and abroad emailed the Sun to complain.
However at the time of writing we are not sure if the Sun intends to make its apology public. Thanks to Robert and all the other fans from this site and other sites who took up this issue.

The reply follows:
Dear Robert
Thank you for your comments regarding our coverage of Niccolo Galli. The information in The Sun on Saturday January 14 was supplied to us by a reputable sports agency with more than 50 years of experience and it was published by us in good faith.
Using Niccolo's name in that context was a genuine mistake on their part and The Sun admits full responsibility for publishing it.
It was never our intention to cause upset to you or any friends or family of Niccolo Galli and we have taken steps to ensure that his name is never used in this way again. In the meantime, please accept my sincere apologies for any distress our article may have caused.
