Of the players that actually played against Blackburn Actors on Saturday, only four are in the squad for the Reading game. It seems certain that Senderos and Cygan will start, and probably that Pascal will captain the team.
Reyes and van Persie are in the squad and possibly vP will start as he only played 10 minutes on Saturday. Hopefully we will see Quincy get a full run out, and a chance to see if Lupoli can do it against a more severe test than reserve teams. Reading are flying at the moment, top of the Championship and yet to lose away.
This will be just the test Wenger’s Wunderkind need. But it also shows that Wenger is not prepared to undermine his CL or Premiership ambitions for this fourth most important tournament. Reading has never beaten Arsenal, but previous squads were at full strength. There is a big responsibility on the youngster’s shoulders.
