All the red tops and the Guardian carry the same story this morning - that a furious Sir Alex Ferguson has told Chelsea to keep their hands off Rio Ferdinand.
After the Norwich defeat last week Rio made his way to London to meet his agent the notorious Zahavi. At the meeting in the restaurant Peter Kenyon turned up at the dining table.
When this became public Chelsea and Rio immediately denied there was any tapping up going on.
However Sir Alex is very suspicious of Kenyon, and so he should be, the man is notorious for stabbing ex employers in the back. The once head of Umbro has masterminded the company being forced out of Chelsea, paying a large sum to break the kit contract.
Thus a furious Sir Alex has warned Chelsea to keep their hands off Rio. Perhaps Rio is just negotiating for a better deal, and Kenyon gets a cut. With the Cole case still pending the arrogance of Chelsea seems to know no bounds.
