Wenger Must Change Winning Team

the Coach

Wenger’s desire for more stability has been undermined by a hamstring injury to Freddy. Thus he will probably have to choose between Diaby, Baptista or Aliadiere as a replacement. Fortunately there are no new injuries.

Earlier this season Arsenal lost one of those games at the City ground where the Gunners had 54 shots, and City only one and that was from a penalty. City have lost quite a few games away, but recently they are on good form with no defeats during last five away games.

City have the best defence outside the top five, but the worst attack outside the bottom two, so they are candidates for an Arsenal present. Once again Arsenal can ill afford to concede, but the defence is a leaky bucket with little hope of a cure, but there is always hope.

Now that the midfield have finally cracked the goal scoring hopefully there might be more goals, but perhaps it will be  a striker that scores tonight, after all nothing lasts forever, the Roman Empire, Tony Blair and even goal droughts. Surprisingly only one team has scored more than the Gunners this season, but Arsenal do not score many away from home. Recently Arsenal have played 4 out of 5 away, that plus the long term absence of Henry and RvP has added to the lack of goals problem.

However the failure to score against the Hammers was the first time that happened this season. Scoring against Bolton may have solved the problem. But Arsenal need 3 points tonight to keep on track for 4th place and possibly even snatch third.
