Yep it’s Martin O’Neil’s Villa, who have drawn 12 times this season, including at Ashburton Grove. Actually they only share the title of the Big Draws Kings with Fulham, but the difference ends there, with the Cottagers you will see an open game of football.

  O’Neil will park the Bus without shame at home. Arsenal has drawn 7 times this season; as they have an inability to deal with Villain like teams. But let’s not dwell on it; it can unbalance your judgement.

 

Arsenal are the in form team of the Premiership, having won five, and drawn one of their last six league games. If the Premiership started in January Arsenal would be ahead by several points, but it don’t so they have to scrap for third place, and the FA have decided to help by banning Adebayor, Eboue, and Toure for this game. Clichy has also rung up five cards and is not available. Henry, RvP and Rosicky are still out (update Rosicky in squad, but likely to be on bench), and Hoyte and Flamini are doubtful (though also will be in squad)

 

Arsenal haven’t really played badly at any stage since Xmas, it’s in Cup Games where the inability to score has been costly. But also having a glass jaw of a defence hasn’t helped.

 

Ignoring the hullabaloo over the cups the Gunners should be launching an assault on second place. Before the cups they were running hot and the team in form in the top four. Will the cup defeats derail them? Will the suspensions derail them? Villa will set some tough questions for them, without Henry, Adebayor and RVP the strikers on the night  are going to have to step up to show they can answer those questions.
