Reyes wants return to Spain

Reyes is quoted in Spanish Newspaper Marca that Real Madrid has made a bid for him. Reyes acknowledges that Arsenal fans have been good to him, but that he has not settled in England.
He is also flattered that Real Madrid want him, that it is a unique opportunity. However he says he does not know what Wenger will decide, he would rather not be cup tied by playing Zagreb, but accepts that if picked he will play.
Of course the quotes could be made up by Marca, it wouldn’t be the first time. But it is clear that Reyes has never lived up to his true potential at Arsenal. His amazing brace of goals against Chelsea were never repeated. It is also possible that the kicking he got at Man Ure, without any protection from the referee, also affected him.
Nonetheless, he put in a lot of hard work, and was often cheered at Highbury for his tackling back. Probably the most fouled player in the Premiership, it may well be that the weather and lack of protection from referees finally undermined his ability to make a go of it.
According to Marca he is nervously awaiting Wenger’s reply. He is on a very long contract so Real would have to pay top money for him.
Although Arsenal do not want to become a selling club it might be a good time to cash in on a player who has never entirely fitted into Arsene's, and Henry's, way of playing.

Once again according to Sky Sports News Reyes Agent has denied the story.
