Arsenal dominated Burnley throughout but, for all the possession, they didn't create enough. We had a well worked corner, well saved, and Lacazette missed a big, big chance. That was about it. Way too many floated crosses for Burnley's defenders and our short forward line. Left it too late making a substitution, and when we did it was the wrong one. One 'senior' midfielder and 5 kids on the bench - recruitment this month has let us down. 0-0 at home to bottom of the league. No goals in our last four games, not since New Year's day. Not good enough. Ratings follow:
RATINGS
Ramsdale - 6. Off his line quickly a couple of times but overall not loads to do. Isn't inspiring the same confidence of late.
White - 6. Did well again filling in at right back. Didn't offer enough going forward.
Holding - 6. Defensively he did everything he had to do. On the ball pretty ordinary.
Gabriel - 6. Similar to Holding really. Did get more adventurous later on. Thought him via a set piece may have been our best chance of getting a goal.
Tierney - 6. Full of running. Like Martinelli and Saka, the final ball wasn't there.
Lokonga - 5. Too inexperienced to be our only midfielder. Kept playing overly safe when we needed more guile.
Odegaard - 6. Thought he was probably our best player again. Tried to make things happen.
Smith Rowe - 6. First half he was quiet. Second half he grew in influence. Made our best chance of the game with an absolutely breathtaking run to the byline. Substituting him was a mistake, killed our flow.
Saka - 6. Had the beating of Pieters all game, just didn't have that final moment. Looked knackered later on.
Lacazette - 5. Missed our best chance of the game.
Martinelli - 6. Saw a lot of the ball. Tried but didn't do a great deal with it. Thought Conor Roberts had a good game up against him.
Subs
Nketiah - 5. Couple of runs. That was about it.
