The season is over. We need a new manager and 10-12 new players. We've got a squad of bottlers and anyone who thinks next season these same players will change with a new manager are deluded.
Leno- Took an age distubution the ball-5
Bellerin- He once said he could beat Bolt in a race, he wouldn't beat your nan now! 1 good cross to Auba but spent the majorty of game passing backwards-4
Holding- Slow and poor passing and missed a good chance with a header-5
Mari- ok but his pace of pace causes us to drop 20 yards to deep-5
Tierney- Dome well considering he's not fit but didn't offer his normal speed- 5
Partey- Slow, couldn't pass the ball all night and lacked stamina. He was suppose to be an upgrade on Xhaka. All am seeing is a downgrade-4
Saka- Couldn't get past their left back and looks like his struggling physically- 4
Smith Rowe- passed backwards the whole game. He looks jaded-4
Odegarrd- Sidewards and backwards. Lacks pace to go past players and hasn't done anything since the West ham game-3
Pepe- Looks uncomfortable on the left and couldn't beat the full back and made several poor passes-3
Auba- unlucky not to score but he performance was a disgrace. He didn't press at all and jogged around-2
Martinelli- Should have started. Brought tempo but was struck on wing when he should have been played througj the middle- 5
Willian- NA
Laca- NA
Arteta-0 -Just watching his interview and his making excuses. You should stop watching Pep and play Martinelli you lego headed arrogant fool!
Yes,
agree manager and 10 or 12 players to get us back where we would like to be.
Agree with those marks and comments.
A lot of those players need to take a long hard look at themselves.
Terrible performance.
Not a MOTM amongst them.
Arteta has proven he wasnโt up for the job, when he was hired.
It was his job to get the players up for it and he failed.
Reckon heโll be gone soon.
Since the end of WW1, 1919, when the FA restarted its 4 tier football league, with Arsenal fc in the 1st div, thereโs only ever been one club to have never been relegated from Div 1/ EPL.
I thought Smith Rowe was the only player trying to heat a man. Everyone else just passed on responsibility.
The formation under Arteta ire frankly idiotic though. They were able to just sit back and let our line of players pass sideways amongst themselves and backwards. You need to create depth as well as width with your formations
If there's a score like minus 0% , that's what I will give Arteta. He got the team to play like we had 3 days to the final whistle.
The truth is that Arteta threw away the game with his atrocious lineup during the 1st leg.
Bellerin is finished. Saka is just a kid and looks nackered already. Leno's distribution is horrendous. Auba is totally not ready after his bout with malaria plus his up and down form all season. The rest I will rather remain mute.
The only 100% in this game is Arsenal who spent all week championing #StopOnlineAbuse
A worthy cause but not all we should focus on.
As long as the owners of Arsenal remain, nothing good will happen. All season we confirmed we are a mid table team when we remained constant in the 10 position.
Even Ole who had been having it rough begining of the season managed to regroup and has gotten utd to the Europa finals.
Chelsea wasted no time to get rid of lampard while we were busy glossing over the fact that Arteta was a fraud that needed to be booted out with his darling William.

Boston Gooner Over the two legs, Rob Holding has had the most shots for Arsenal - 4
Apparently we only had 4 shots on target for both games.
Absolutely terrible ๐
We were awful, but Auba did have an effort that hit inside of post, I couldnt believe it didnt go in
"When we had to suffer the team is a lion because they suffer together." 4 July 2020 at Wolverhampton Wanderers
Arteta on his team's first away victory at a club above them in the Premiership since September 2015 at Leicester.

I thought it was going to spin in but somewhere their awful goalkeeper got a touch on the ball after it hit the post.

Yeah, luck or not that was a world class save. The commentators were making fun of the guy all night but he probably kept them in it.
I thought Leno (what does he have to do to get more than 5 - score a hat trick?); Holding (came close with two good headers), Mari (pretty solid all night) & Pepe (consistently probing up front) all played well
The big disappointments were Bellerin, Odegaard & Partey (though the latter was trying to hold the entire midfield on his own)
I think Arteta's tactics were dreadful both games (esp the first)
We were a tad unlucky last night - Xhaka's last minute injury and the two woodworks - but overall it was poor. Martinelli clearly should have started to bring dynamism. I knew we wouldn't make it from the performance in the first 20 minutes.
djarse Don't agree with the ratings at the top

What did Leno do apart from take ages to distrube the ball?
Am Pepe's biggest fan but he was shite last night.
Well independent ( as opposed to angry disappointed fans ) ratings all tended to rate Leno, Holding, Mari and Pepe much higher than you did. But hey ho thatโs the beauty of places like this where we can disagree .....
Saw a stat that Mari won 12 aerial duels and had 92% pass success rate - usually worth more than a 5!
Boston Gooner Think it depends on what he does with that 92% pass rate.
It certainly wasn't for creativity.
Thatโs unfair.
Heโs a defender, doing his job good. Not our creative force.
Those stats alone make him 6 or more and the same for the other 3 DJ mentioned.
When we loose itโs not easy to be adjective, when rating players.
Well said DJ.

There is also the prejudice against certain players who are deemed poor no matter how well they perform. Using stats will be the most objective form of assessment.
I've watched it again and the only player I'd considering given a higher mark is Mari but he was 1 of the players who struggled to pass forward.
What I will say is despite how much stick Xhaka gets it's clear he's the most important player we've got. He's the only player who seems capable of getting us up the pitch.
Another point is apart from Saka, none of our players can keep the ball under physical contact. I thought Partey would be good at this but he's confidance has gone and he doesn't want the ball from the defender's. He was hiding at times.
