Not pretty but a big three points Spurs, Liverpool and Chelsea all dropped points. Thought we really missed Ozil today. I would've started Wilshere personally. Iwobi really disappointed.
RATINGS
Cech - 7. Made some saves and showed good handling.
Koscielny - 7. Dealt with the physicality of Burnley's approach.
Mustafi - 8. Immense, particularly in the first half when we were under pressure.
Monreal - 7. Skinned too easily by Gudmundsson in the first half when he hit the post, but okay otherwise. Good in possession.
Bellerin - 5. Poor.
Xhaka - 6. Not very adventurous in his passing.
Ramsey - 6. Biggest threat going forward in the first half, should've scored. Not as effective in the second half, but made sure Mason saw he was pushed.
Kolasinac - 6. Okay apart from his end product/ final decision, which was really lacking.
Alexis - 6. Passing was so sloppy but showed his character to win it from the penalty spot late on.
Lacazette - 6. Used the ball well despite little service.
Iwobi - 5. Worked hard but completely ineffective. Wasted his opportunity.
Subs
Wilshere - 6. Used the ball well. Decent cameo.
Welbeck - 5. No impact.

Arteta on his team's first away victory at a club above them in the Premiership since September 2015 at Leicester.
The rest of the team struggled and we got away with one there, which is justice, since we are always on the other side of it.

Absolutely, no bite in midfield and not many good chances up front. We did improve when Jack came on, but probably just as important that Iwobi went off

I wouldn't say he was superb but one of his strengths is his positioning. Yes, he has been beaten by goals perfectly hit in the corner, but those goals many keepers wouldn't have saved it anyway. Unless opponents hit the perfect shot in the corner and with pace, you're probably aint gonna beat Cech. Come on, how many "howlers" had Cech let in?? (apart from Everton's last goal recently which is more Monreal' fault for the pass).
Bob Wilson talks about perfect positioning and presence, things that you can't really teach, and something that Almunia and Fabianski didn't have. And something that we haven't had since Seaman. Mad Jens has a little of it. But he was mad and therefore you never know if he was gonna do a 'Grobelaar moment'.
I am not going to go into a debate about Cech losing some of his agility or not, but he is a proper, solid keeper, like a Peter Shilton type. I never thought Shilton was the best but with him in goal, you felt assured.
Anyway, Cech is still our best keeper, and still one of the best in the game.

Agreed Padre, and that's why he's still a top keeper. Even most top EPL players turned pundits say that Cech is still one of the best in the business. But these are just legends of the game, what do they know.
