Will Wilshere Walk Is It Time To Review Youth Policy

Arsene Wenger has made it clear he wants to operate with a group of six senior central midfielders. Over the last few years we've gone from a group containing Mikel Arteta, Francis Coquelin, Abou Diaby, Mathieu Flamini, Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere, to a group containing Coquelin, Ramsey, Wilshere, Santi Cazorla, Mohamed Elneny and Granit Xhaka.

 

 

 Some may try to argue that you only need two players per position in your first team squad, but given the rate at which we pick up injuries, this wouldn't be smart. I feel we have a pretty good six here, but Wenger made the decision to send Wilshere out on loan for this season.
