Danny Welbeck becomes the third Arsenal player to score a hat trick in CL. One was Henry and the other Nik Bentdner, let us hope this is a sign of great things to come. he could have four but lets not get greedy. The player ratings follow below.

Szczesny 6 - done well, missed the ball by a fraction in sending off. For me a challenge the keeper has to make in those circumstances

Chambers 7 - good cool calm performance
Mertesacker 7 - good game
Koscielny 7 - solid
Gibbs 7.5 - solid and always keen to get forward

Flamini 6 - done well, needlessly booked
Cazorla 8 - kept us ticking over nicely, unlucky not to score in last minute

Oxlade-Chamberlain 7.5 - always a big danger with his great running
Ozil 7.5 - very good performance, and an assist
Alexis 8 - dangerous, and scored another goal

Welbeck 9 - hat trick man, very good, mobile and willing runner too.

Subs
Ospina 7 - 3 good saves
Rosicky 6 - got involved straight away
Wilshere n/a - only on for a short time
