Quite a few Arsenal fans have written to the BBC to complain about the rubbish Mihir Bose writes about the Arsenal, Rubbish that has nothing to do with the subject in hand. One fan has forwarded his reply from the BBC:

I understand you feel Mihir Bose is biased against Arsenal. Let me assure you that this is certainly not our intention. BBC journalists are expected to put their own views aside when conducting work for the BBC in an effort to compose a balanced impartial report. Nevertheless, please be assured I have registered your comments regarding this issue and have made them available to the BBC Sport team and the senior BBC management. Feedback of this nature helps us when making decisions about future BBC services and your comment will play a part in this process.

Thank you again for taking the time to contact the BBC.

How reassuring is that? The key paragraph is the following:

I might be over optimistic but that could mean that old Boring Bose may have to be more sparing with his gratuitous comments in future. If you missed the article on this issue it is reprinted below. It’s also not too late to keep the pressure up by emailing in your complaint at the link below:

Time to stop subsidising Mihir Boring Spuds Fuck

Many Arsenal fans will remember the long campaign Mihir Bose ran against Arsenal when the new stadium was under construction. Of course he would call it objective journalism, but to those of us in the know it was just another Spurs fan full of jealousy. He was always writing about how the funding would go wrong, spinning the figures to make failure look imminent. In those days he worked for the Telegraph, and Gunners didn’t have to pay for the rag. But now we are having to subsidise his shite, and vitriol, as he is Sports Editor for the BBC.

Here is his latest helping of bile under the pretext of analysis.

"Their match-day revenue in the six months to November more than doubled to £38m, compared to £16m the previous half year (helped by two more matches at the Emirates).

Not surprising, given the Highbury Library had 38,000 seats and the Emirates has 60,000. "

He just can’t help himself. So I have forwarded the following feedback to the BBC

 "On Mihir Bose I thought the BBC was supposed to be neutral, yet here we have a Spurs fan abusing the Arsenal when it has nothing to with the article (His comment on the so called Highbury Library). I don’t see what it has to do with his news article.

It is also inaccurate as I can assure him that the last game at Highbury was no Library as fans celebrated beating Wigan, and the fact that Spurs finished 5th by losing at Upton Park.

Its also strange that this man never writes about Spurs, true there must be little that can be written, but how about how they tried to increase the charges for the 2nd leg at the Emirates - and how quiet it was when Arsenal went ahead for the second time, and how their fans just rushed out of the ground."
