Arsene thinks this may be Arsenal’s toughest test at the new stadium. Arsenal have only recently climbed above the Toffees. Like the Gunners they have only lost one this season, but have played a game more.

However they should not prove to be as obdurate as Villa, but they will try. The Arsenal defence will also have to keep an eye out for Andy Johnson the penalty king. Arsene says he is not a diver, that he wins them fairly. I must say I wasn't that convinced by the one he won when playing for Palace against us. Mind you we won 5-1.

Arsenal are out to get six wins in a row, something they have not achieved since March 2004. If they do achieve the sixth victory then it will surely be a watershed to convince the doubters that the Gunners are contenders.

Everton last defeated Arsenal at home in January 1996, but have lost on their last eleven visits in all competitions. Everton have a long list of injuries including Weir, Naysmith and Hibbert. There are also doubts over the fitness of Arteta, Yobo and Neville.

Arsenal also have a long injury list, Eboue, Ljungberg, Adebayor, Baptista, Lauren and Diaby; yet in spite of that Arsenal were able to field a team, with ten changes from the Reading game, that could beat the second place team in the Championship. It certainly backs Wenger’s claim that he doesn’t need to buy in January.

Henry will need to be on form if the Gunners are to get a much needed early goal, as they will need to tie the game up early as there is a tough match on Wednesday.

There is some confusion over the squad, some sources claim that Clichy is in it, but elsewhere Wenger is quoted as saying that he will rest him entirely. The same confusion applies to Denilson, but that would cost Arsene options in attack, unless he leaves Flamini off the bench. If he does that it would have far reaching implications for the midfielder's future.

It is most likely that the team will be the same as the one against Reading, unless Wenger decides to give Djourou a rest and Senderos a start.
