Nketiah MotM Ratings V Leeds

Crowd started off in a relaxed mood in the Highbury sunshine, having started off singing the new anthem North London For Ever. Within minutes Nketiah had poached the first goal, within ten minutes Arsenal were two ahead. In 27 minutes Leeds were down to ten men. At half time Leeds had had zero shots on goal. Who would have guessed that the second half would be agony with the crowd living on its nerves? Anyhow at this time of the season its the points that count and as the players greeted the full tiime whistle with a score of 2-1 the crowd greeted Arsenal as conquering heroes. Ratings follow:

Ramsdale 5 - One dodgy kick and came rushing out of his area again when Gabriel and another defender were managing the situation
Tomiyasu 7 - Thank goodness he’s back
Holding 7 - Solid and not bad
Gabriel 6 - Thought he was going to get sent off again
Cedric 5 - Put some good balls in the box but panics a lot
Elneny 7 - Pyramid Pirlo does it again
Xhaka 7 - Good game, didn’t need to get involved with James
Ødegaard 7 - Needs to get those shots off
Martinelli 7 - he’s a dichotomy. He’s either going to go supernova and be worth £80m or continue to flatter to deceive…..I’m still not entirely convinced
Nketiah 8 - Well played son. A striker who can run
Saka 6 - Quiet

Pepe -10. - Abysmal
ESR 5 - Meh
