Sevilla Vs Middlesboro match preview.

There is only one thing harder than a Geordie giving credit to Middlesboro and that is two Geordies giving our smoggy not so close neighbours credit. But that is what we will do, credit for reaching the final, credit for coming back from the death, not once but twice and finally credit the moment they eventually admit that our derby is against Sunderland and theirs is Hartlepool.

They will start tonight as underdogs, but that seems to have been the way for Boro thus far in the campaign and it is yet to stop them,

Still if it seems like a dream for Boro the same can also be said for Sevilla, with defender Sevilla FC's Julien Escudé admitting as much "it's a dream" quoth that very man.

He carried on: "It has all happened very quickly."

"I've only been in Seville four months and suddenly we're talking about the UEFA Cup final - it's a dream. I just hope we win."

It is a sentiment echoed by club captain Javi Navarro, who continued the theme saying:

“I have never played a match of this significance before.”

"I came close with Valencia, but this will be my most important match to date."

The bookies favour Sevilla as well counting on Sevilla's playmaker Enzo Maresca controlling the midfield and Argentinian Javier Saviola in attacking plus the no-nonsense defender Javi Navarro back in the squad.

Boro though are not the sort to roll over and die this season and having seen off the likes of Roma will certainly fancy there chances.

Boss McClaren is off to coach England after this game, so while we will all have the chance to see him turned into a vegetable by the nations press in a few months time, this could just be the send off to end all send offs.

For us though we are saying a Sevilla win, by the odd goal in three.

And will not change our minds until this derby thing is sorted.
