Latest news:

Arshavin, Bentley and Villa deliver Spurs snub

Daily routine seems to return to White Hart Lane with a series of players snubbing the North-London giants, a side who will easily content for top four next season. Russia and Euro 2008 star Andrei Arshavin has told Russian papers that Tottenham Hotspur has made a formal offer for the player but that he has told his agent he's not interested in such a move.

Other Premier League clubs that are eyeing the Russian playmaker are Everton and Newcastle United.

Meanwhile the same news seem to come out of the camp of Valencia and fellow Euro 2008 star David Villa, who stated in Spanish paper AS:

"I'd consider a move to the Premier League but not to Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal do much more appeal to me as a club."

The latest player to reject a move to Juande Ramos' side is former enemy from down the road David Bentley. The talented wide man who is ready to leave Blackburn seems to prefer a move to Liverpool mainly due the lure of Champions League football.

Has to be said though, Spurs did VERY well getting Modric - an excellent player and definitley one of the best performers in Euro 2008.

"It is born out of hypocrisy and fundamental insecurity. There have been two kids on the block for the past 12 years. Suddenly, there is a third and that one is threatening to be more successful than the others and they don’t like it." P Kenyon.
