New Middlesbrough signing Emanuel Pogatetz is facing a six month ban from football following an incident while playing for Spartak Moscow. The game which took place last weekend witnessed an horrific tackle by Pogatetz on Shinnik Yaroslavl's Jaroslav Haritonskiy.
The two footed tackle snapped the players leg in two places, leaving him with two broken bones and two dislocations.
It is a tackle that has sickened Russian football, and they have taken quick steps in announcing a six month ban.
Spokesman Artem Vagin stated:
"Very soon we will send all documents to the FA of England."
"Any disqualification given to the player must be transferred to the new association.
"The previous association is obligated to inform the new one in writing about the sanctions."
