Beckenbauer Attacks Klinsmann

1990 World Cup winning coach Franz Beckenbauer believes that the German National team is faltering because of their coach, Jurgen Klinsmann

Germany were doing well and gained a lot of momentum from the Confederations Cup, but Beckenbauer believes Klinsmann has lost that by losing 2-0 to Slovakia.

Beckenbauer said:

"It’s lucky we qualify automatically for the World Cup. There’s no defence, no goalscorer - just a lot of journeymen."

"We just can’t have the best goalkeeper off playing golf while we have an international match,"

"Next time, he’s going swimming. The defence has to get used to playing with the goalkeeper. Jürgen is shying away from making a decision. I just find it sad that we’ve lost the momentum from the Confederations' Cup."
