Aston Villa's Bid for Spanish Starlet Rejected

Atlètico de Madrid have dismissed an important 6.5 milion euros bid from Aston Villa for Spanish midfielder Gabi. The 22-year-old player is said to be a great prospect and has caught the English club's attention during Madrd`s tour. Atlètico de Madrid have decided to keep their young promising midfielder Gabi, who was a regular in Bianchi's team during the tour, where he was impressive.

Rejecting Aston Villa's offer was not easy, because they were willing to spend a lot of money on a player whose position in the team is not yet secure. But they have decided to keep him and bet on his future, as he is showing he deserves being the regular defensive midfielder in the line up.

Aston Villa have now used this money to increase their offer for Liverpool striker Milan Baros, up to aroun 10 million euros.
