Liverpool offer confirmed by Real Zaragoza

Real Zaragoza have confirmed that Liverpool have made an offer for Argentinian defender Gabriel Milito, but state they have rebuffed it, because the player is not for sale. Zaragoza sporting director Miguel Pardeza speaking to PA International stated:

"There have been contacts with Liverpool and they have made an offer for Milito."

"But the player is not for sale, he is fundamental for us and we want to keep him."

"We have offered him a three-year contract extension and he has taken some time to reflect."

"But soon we will have an answer."
