Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is planning a raid to try and lure Atalanta keeper Vito Mannone to Highbury. The 17 year old is gaining a lot of plaudits and Wenger sees him as a star of the future and wants to move now to secure him. This of course would not be the first time Arsenal have moved to secure young Italian talent, they lured Arturo Lupoli from Parma, this time last year.

A fee of around €500,000 will be payable, but it is strongly anticipated that Mannone, will be an Arsenal player within the next week.
