Lyon Snubbed by Baros

Liverpool striker Milan Baros has turned down a move to Lyon where he would team up with old manager Gerard Houllier again.

The Euro 2004 top scorer has decided he would rather stay put at Liverpool than make a move to the French Champions.

 

It is unclear whether Baros will be kept by manager, Rafael Benitez as he seems to prefer the partnership of Cisse and Morientes.

 

Baros was happy to stay due to Liverpool’s acceptance into the Champions League so the winners could defend their title.

 

Baros’ representative Dalibor Lacina said:

 

"Milan’s decision has been made easier by the fact that Liverpool are playing in the Champions League."

"This is not a decision against Lyon - this is a decision for Liverpool."
