Newcastle: 2 Penalties, a dodgy ref and a punch up

Oh what a perfect day, at least Souness has sorted out the dressing room, I mean those chaotic days of ill discipline under Robson are well behind us, aren’t they? I mean thank Christ we don’t have our players trading blows on the pitch. Oh sorry that’s right we do. Not that I am blaming Souness, but it is going to be interesting to see how he handles this, Dyer for instance is already supposed to be on a final warning for his antics under Robson, so will we have another Bellamy situation?

It was probably a game to forget, their first penalty was a penalty and Taylor had to go, but at least he left for the good of the side and was warmly applauded off, an old head on young and talented shoulders, if only the same could be said for the other pair of idiots.

We will now be missing them for the semi final of the FA cup, why the hell can’t they have a punch up in the dressing room after the game if they have to bloody have one.

And with Dyer especially, you have to ask yourself, how much more damage he intends to do to my club, fist the disrespect for the captains arm band, his treatment of Robson, a man who he admits treat him like a son, the constant trouble he seems to get himself in, the often virtually whole seasons worth of loss of form. And when at last he starts playing well and this happens.

Not that Bowyer is blameless in all this, its just he doesn’t tend to over step the mark in his time at Newcastle.

Aston Villa’s second penalty was never a penalty, and we had too perfectly good shouts ruled out, one of which was a stone wall penalty.

The ref would not have given us anything today if his life depended on it and his over all performance must have been some sort of late April fools joke, it’s the only explanation.

But even I can’t blame the ref for the sending off of Dyer and Bowyer; I mean what else was he supposed to do?

Tomorrow morning will bring us the cockney press and more bad publicity for Newcastle.

Regardless of his recent form is it time for Dyer to go?

Or do we forgive and forget yet again, in the hope that he can learn that pulling on that shirt is an honour not a right?
