Newcastle eye French star

Newcastle United are said to be chasing French star Gregory Vignal from Liverpool. The player recently had a successful loan spell at Rangers and is attracting a great deal of interest.
It was thought, he would join Rangers permanently but he was unable to agree personal terms so he returned to Anfield.
Newcastle will have to contend with competition for his signature in the shape of Marseille.
