Aston Villa favourites to land Juventus Star

Reports in Italy are stating that both Aston Villa and West Brom were trying to sign Juventus defender Nicola Legrottaglie, West Brom of course have been connected with the player for a few weeks now, but it looks like they have been unsuccessful in their bid. The player is said to have rejected West Brom, but is willing to move to England and Aston Villa, he has not really featured for Fabio Capello’s side this season and will be allowed to leave during the transfer window, its just the matter of where he ends off that needs resolved.

David O'Leary is looking to strengthen his squad and have leapt into favourite’s position to land Legrottaglie in the Italian press.
