Inter winger fancies Toon switch

Inter Milan Winger Andy van der Meyde has admitted that he would like to move away from inter and begin a new life in the premiership, and that he has several clubs interested in him, but he favours a move to Newcastle United. He has bee a peripheral figure at best since the arrival of coach Mancini and has already stated his desire to move to either the premiership or back home to his native Holland.

Speaking to an Italian radio station van der Meyde stated:

“It’s true I am considering a move, I am not part of the coach’s long term plans a feel it would be better for me and Inter if we were to part company now.”

“I have enjoyed my time here, but it is time to move on”.

When asked his likely destination he went on to say:

“I have had no formal contact with any club, but several have expressed an interest, out of those I would favour a move to the premiership and Newcastle, they are a great club and it would be an honour”.

Inter have recently been linked with Dyer, so there could be an outside chance of him being part of any deal.
