Barcelona have ruled out any move for Manchester City’s Nicolas Anelka, at least during the January transfer window, 10 points clear at the top of La Liga their Vice president Sandro Rosell speaking to Sky Sports News stated:
"Anelka is not on our list because a transfer fee would be necessary and we are looking for a loan," said Rosell, who also admitted the French striker is not the kind of player the club are looking to attract anyway."
He added: "I think the reason we are not interested in Anelka, even if he was available on loan, is because our technical staff do not think he is the kind of player we need."
