Agent confirms Newcastle interest in Marseille Duo

Marseille's defensive pair Habib Beye and Abdoulaye Meite are being persuade by Newcastle United their Agent has revealed, talking to a French newspaper the agent was quoted as saying: ‘Yes its true we have had enquires, it is also true that the players concerned would like to move to the Premiership.’

‘Newcastle are a great club and it would be a dream move for any player’

Meite himself has responded by stating: ‘Nothing is certain in football, but if I got an offer from a club of Newcastle’s size, then I would be flattered.’

There is nothing concrete from Newcastle itself, but it seams highly likely, is sources on the continent are to be believed that an offer of some description will arrive shortly.
