Finland and Liverpool defender Sami Hyypiä has strongly denied any possibility he might be leaving the club. Having been linked with Swedish club Malmö FF, Hyypiä decided to comment his situation in a recent column. "With all due respect to the Swedish league and Malmö, there is no chance whatsoever, I'd be moving there. I hadn't even heard that kind of rumour before Sunday. Besides, if it should happen, that I wouldn't get games at Liverpool anymore, I would continue my career either in England or in Central Europe and not in Scandinavia", he wrote.

Swedish newspaper Expressen wrote last weekend, that Hyypiä would be negotiating a move to Sweden to link up with international collegues Jari Litmanen and Jonatan Johansson.

"It seems incomprehensible that some journalists don't have any moral standards", Hyypiä commented. "They just sit by their computer, make up their own transfer stories and publish them. Unbelievably immoral stuff".

Hyypiä stressed the importance of rotation in the current squad and underlined, that no player will play all games during the long season.

"I am not going anywhere and I doubt Liverpool would be willing to sell me either", he concluded. "I will comment on it this first and last time and I won't lower to give any more comments on this during the season".
