River Plate striker Gonzalo Higuaín has been named in a squad of 50 (!) players selected for France's friendly against Greece on November 15. However, the player, who was born in France while his footballer father was playing for Brest in Ligue 1 and still holds a French passport, says he has yet to decide whether to accept Raymond Domenech's call-up.

"I have received the news," said the 18-year-old, "but I have still not decided anything.

"I will talk with my family, my father and my brother. I think myself French, but I want to make the right choice."

The 18-year-old, who does not speak French, was targeted by the Argentinean under-20s national team but rejected the call-up.

The final France squad for the friendly will be announced next Thursday.

Higuaín is a highly rated striker who generated interest from all over Europe with Manchester United, Chelsea and a host of Italian and Spanish clubs reported to be interested.
