FC Barcelona and Boca Juniors have agreed a first option deal on Boca striker Rodrigo Palacio. Joan Laporta and Mauricio Macri agreed a deal during a dinner last week. FC Barcelona were desperate to seal a first option deal because quite a few other teams were interested. Juventus showed determination to buy the young striker but it's now most likely that he will end up at FC Barcelona.

If Barça were to lift the first option they would need to pay £10 million to secure Palacio's services.

Palacio is currently in his second season with Boca. The 24-year old scored 17 goals in 32 appearances last term.
