Juventus and Milan off the hook (yet again)

Milan and Juventus must have a guardian angel, or at least friends in high places, as the Italian FA have decided that they will not use video evidence and decided against punishment for Thuram, Mutu, Nedved, and Inzaghi, who were all shown to be guilty of violent play during Saturday’s big match. Television evidence clearly showed all four players were guilty of foul play against an adversary at different times during the match, but once again, the big clubs go unpunished in Italy.

While I can’t say it surprises me, I wonder what would have happened if it had been a game between, two of the lesser teams?

It appears to be just one more indication of where the real power in Italian football lies, and it isn’t with the FA.
