Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas avoided questions over his future at Real Madrid after press speculation that he was lining up a move to Arsenal in January, but he did concede that he would remain at Madrid should he be given the chance.
But that chance may not come, as Madrid continue to scour Europe for a replacement goalkeeper Casillas stated:
"My desire is the same because I have been with Madrid since I was eight years old. This is my family, my friends are here.
"But I do not want to speak more on this subject because it tires me. I am thankful that people ask, but my idea is to be playing for the team and Spain, to do the things well and then soon everything else will take care of itself.
"The peculiar thing in my life is that I have only had one team, Madrid.
"My dream is to retire here. It is possible we will reach an agreement."
