Blackburn Preview: A Plea About That Song

COME ON CHELSEA

Due to illness I was able to watch AvBs live pre-match press conference on Thursday and to be honest I was surprised and shocked how drawn the man was looking. Now unless I was imagining it AvB looks like a man with the weight of the world on his shoulders and I suggest, despite his confident proclamations, there is something fundamently wrong within the green playing fields of Cobham Halls.

Prior to the conference starting, the Club announced that certain 'topics' were off the agenda but one weasel journo chanced his arm after twenty odd minutes and the conference was brought to an abrupt ending.

AvB did say that our 'One England Captain' was mentally in the right frame of mind and is at least in the squad for the difficult trip to Ewood Park.

Also returning, AvB announced, is Obi Mikel, but the best piece of news given by AvB was that he expects Michael Essien to be available for selection again, at the end of December.

Didier is still serving his suspension which afforded him the opportunity to have the metal removed plate removed following his arm break in 2010 and AvB expects him to be available, after the International break for the home game against Liverpool.

On a very good day, playing Rovers at Ewood Park is not a very easy game. With Chelsea's defensive problems and frailities and the club still smarting from conceding five last weekend, today's game is even more important and with Rovers in difficult circumstances, the game will become even more a test for AvB's tactical acumen.

Current form at Ewood Park is on Chelsea's side with the Blues winning four of the last five League games.

FINALLY A PLEA

If you are reading this and planning to be at Ewood Park today, PLEASE DON'T SING that song. Although the words contain no racist terms, the implication is there and by singing the words you are implying what was said or not!!!

The club has enough difficulties to contend with at the moment and singing 'that' song will only give the red-top rag bags more ammunition to fuel the anti-Chelsea fire, a fire that has been burning since Mr A took over the reins.
