Money Citeh started the annual horror show trend a couple of years ago winning 4-2 at The Bridge. Sunderland continued it last season winning 3-0 and now Arsenal have added their mark. Money Citeh's Villa, Silva, Aguero and even firework boy Balotelli must be rubbing their hands with glee in anticipation of Citeh's visit to the Bridge in December.
As defensively diabolical Chelsea were, Arsenal were 'lucky.'
'Lucky' on five occasions, but before you start ripping my head off, Arsenal fired two broadside warning shots at the start of each half.
First Gervinho and RvP missed stone cold sitters at the Matthew Harding and then prior to Santos equaliser three minutes into the 2nd half, Cech saved from RvP and Ramsey saw his shot just go over the bar.
Four warnings unheeded by Chelsea. Let the collapse begin!!
But first.....I want to know why Szczesny wasn't sent off when he clattered into Ashley Cole on the edge of the area four minutes into the second half? His challenge was far worse than Bosingwa's six-of-one, half-a-dozen of the other shirt tug of war with SWP last weekend.
Two decisions, two different games, two referees proving there is a wide inconsistency in the decision making process.
In the space of a week, Andre Marriner replaces Chris Foy at the top of the 'Hated Refs' leaderboard, with Mike Dean in 3rd.
Had Szczesny gone, Wenger would have had to change his dynamic and perhaps RvP wouldn't have got his hat-trick, JT wouldn't have slipped trying to retrieve a wayward Malouda pass and Petr Cech perhaps wouldn't have conceded three goals at his near post, for me a disgrace, for a goalkeeper of his international standing (Five for 'lucky' Arsenal.)
'Cheating Chavs,' I know where that came from, but I don't know why?!?!?
Chelsea: Cech, Bosingwa, Ivanovic, Terry (c), Cole, Ramires (Lukaku 72), Mikel (Meireles 75), Lampard, Sturridge (Malouda 61), Torres, Mata
No credit to Arsenal at all that come to the bridge and slapped you with 5 goals and for a team that has been written off everywhere and wasnt given a cat's hell of a chance to win.
You can spend 50m on a striker, but you cant buy class RVP!!!!
Naturally as a Ruski you would see only negatives about Arsenal stupendous win yesterday. I also agree that Chesney was lucky to stay on as normally any Arsenal player has only to blow on another player and he is off....Note: The sendings off of Gunners this year...every one a farce.
Having said that I hasten to add that (A) Chelski were totally outplayed after the first 15 minutes. That 15 minutes was bad because AW had to start with our 6th new back four this season and unlike your manager, AW had no choice!
( Chesney was probably saved by the girly scream let out by Cole just before he was tackled..a premeditated cheat which for once was picked up by a chelski biased ref!
(C)..You have possibly the dirtiest CB in the UK and Im not talking about Terry, who I thought had a great game until his tumble. This Ivanovic...he looks for dirt at every corner, at every tackle and mostly at every jump. Yesterday if anyone should have had a red card it was him after hi deliberate elbow in RVP's neck in the second half.Pure filth!
For Chelski it was a jolt they needed because you have assumed that The Russian can buy you trophies every year...so far the only fair trophies your club has won have been pre Russian. This bloke is an albatross and one day he will walk, and the club will collapse. I dont want that but it will happen.
Right now you have a great squad but an average manager! If the club had kep Angelotti you would be top or near top for years to come....but the Russian throws his toys out his pram and @#$%& up what has been built.
Arsenal fan here, I've never seen a more open game than yesterdays. What on earth is your manager doing? He inherited the best defence in the league and now what? Yours is the first defence I've seen this year worse than ours. On the goalkeeper being sent off I thought he was off but looking back at it I believe Cole made a meal of it. the rest of the game was crazy
Before logging on, "Horror Show" were EXACTLY the words I was going to use.
And we were lucky not to be 2 down in the early stages. Comedy defending leaving more space than in the Sahara.
Lately this season, I've felt that we've been hard done by suffering one injustice or the other, but there can be no doubt that we deserved that hammering.
All very depressing (and I had such high hopes walking up a sunny Fulham Road).
"It is born out of hypocrisy and fundamental insecurity. There have been two kids on the block for the past 12 years. Suddenly, there is a third and that one is threatening to be more successful than the others and they don’t like it." P Kenyon.

What is our manager and defence doing?
That's the question many of us were asking as we left the Bridge with perplexed expressions....

Villas Boas wants us to be more attacking and prefers a high defensive line. They were just TOO high yesterday. they need time to get it right I suppose.
