SPURS 2 CHELSEA 1: GUTLESS BLUES HAND RIVALS NEW HOPE
By dixon9

A lacklustre performance against a recently rejuvenated Spurs side saw us depressingly put what seemed like justified optimism for the title in new danger. We lacked drive, belief and penetration whilst Spurs appeared far too relaxed and comfortable.
Sure, we were down to 10 men after another White Hart Lane red card for Terry but we were already 2 goals down at that stage.
So who were the culprits?Well Terry hadn’t covered himself in glory with the handball and the red card but it would be unfair to single him out – practically the whole side was poor. The only exceptions I can think of were Deco who displayed some flashes of invention, Malouda who at least tried to get into the box with the ball at his feet and Cech who pulled off some absolutely first class saves.
Spurs didn’t really have an outstanding candidate for man of the match themselves, they were efficient rather than classy and it was only Bale and possibly Modric who stood out for them.
Indeed it seemed like the match was lost through psychology rather than football ability.Spurs simply maintained a calm disposition whilst we sank into a depression leaving a team bereft of ideas on the pitch.
It really is down to Ancelotti and the playing staff to turn this around. We can still win the title and who knows, the sky could look much bluer and brighter next weekend.Nevertheless, we have at least one difficult fixture to come at Anfield whilst we hope that our old rivals from north London can do to Man Utd what they have already done to Arsenal and ourselves.
Think Chelski got off light..
we should have won by at least four or five goals...
then your goal diff would have been really @#$%& up....
count yourselfs lucky...
"Spurs didn’t really have an outstanding candidate for man of the match themselves, they were efficient rather than classy and it was only Bale and possibly Modric who stood out for them." What game were you watching? Dawson was immense at the back. Surely, more of a real defender than Terry. Huddlestone was a rock. Gomes dealt with your crosses and your 2 decent chances. Ekotto forced Ancelotti to withdraw Joe Cole.
yiddo Spurs were efficient rather than classy.ha.We slaughterewd you you knob
Think you should look up the meaning of the word "slaughtered". You won by 1 goal (there´s a clue to what I´m talking about in case you don´t realise - mind you, you probably don´t even know what a dictionary is you nonce).

So Dawson will be in the England squad according to you then?
I rate Huddlestone - but you lot don´t - you tried to sell him last summer.
Joe Cole has been withdrawn nearly every game recently.

Despite Chelsea's massive squad and wealth advantage. They could not match Spurs today anywhere on the pitch. Spurs also had Palacios, King and Lennon all out.
Stop abusing each other - watch the hightlights - Spurs hammered Chelsea today in all but the score.
We battered you and you know it... Pav was our worst player because he should have scored a hat trick... Daws for England, same for Hudd, Modric imense, Bale bast player in the league on form. Can't wait to get Lennon back too. Just wear it...
dick9 - How biased are you? We played you off the park with some exceptional performances - notably Bale. Shearer said we won every battle on the pitch and were superb. What game were you watching at Three Point Lane? You won't be calling it that anymore!
