It is great seeing opposition managers digging at the officials for not getting the decisions they thought their team deserved - PENALTIES to be precise, ie Sir Alex, Martin O'Neill (on Saturday) and last night at Stamford Bridge, Owen Coyle who described Didier Drogba as the 'best' volleyball player in the World.

No-one cares unless you are Owen Coyle and a Trotter, I certainly don't.

After all no-one cared when Chelsea were denied penalties against Barca last season, Inter this season and more recently at Old Trafford when last night's goalscoring hero Nicolas Anelka was 'hipped' off the ball by ageing Gary Neville.

Its about time refs started to favour Chelsea - they have been favouring other teams for too long - and if the decisions last night were the catalyst to a brilliant and successful first season for Carlo Ancelotti, I will take that anyday.

Owen Coyle should count himself very lucky that he hasn't lost the services of Kevin Davies for the next three games after his one-man demoltion job, especially on the unfortunate Yury Zhirkov who played his best game since his move to the Bridge last Summer.

Davies smashed into Zhirkov's head leaving Yury pole-axed on the ground, requiring lengthy treatment to stem the flow of blood.

He regained his senses to continue with his head heavily bandaged then after a clearing header he had to leave the pitch to have the damage looked at again.

Fortunately Yury returned and played out the remainder of the game and brilliantly helped Chelsea to move four points clear at the top of the Premier League and a step closer to a history-making double.

Chelsea were not at their best last night. It was hardly surprising after the energy sapping experience at Wembley last Saturday, whereas Bolton were fresh and full of running and full of danger since their last game ten days before.

However Chelsea dug in and got the three points their grit and determination deserved and now it is on to 'Three Point Lane' on Saturday.
