FA Cup S/F Preview PtII: How Are You Getting to Wembley

COME ON CHELSEA

It seems the authorities that run the transport system in London are determined that no-one turns up at Wembley on Saturday and it seems that the FA and TFL haven't held disucssions knowing that there is a major sporting event being held that will attract 90,000 people to the new Wembley.

Most of the major underground lines are facing closure or part closure tomorrow due to engineering works and despite what people think, the fans of both clubs, DON'T live in their respective neighbourhoods.

So unless you are a Woolwich or Chelsea fan living right on Wembley's doorstep you can expect the following problems getting to the brand new stadium.

The District Line will be closed between Barking and Upminster. There will be no service on the Central Line between Liverpool Street and Leytonstone, on the Hammersmith and City Line between Plaistow and Barking, on the Jubliee Line between Stratford and Green Park and on the Victoria Line between Highbury and Islington and Brixton.

John Terry2

There are also disruptions on National Rail. So good luck.

Perhaps the empty seats shown on the telly won't be blamed on the corporates 'enjoying' themselves, before and at half-time, because the chances are they won't have made it to the game.

Fortunately for me, the Northern Line and the Metropolitan Line are expected to be running normally along with my National Rail service.

Anyway enough of that. Deco is out. ANOTHER hamstring pull according to HUSS. He said, "We did tough training yesterday and all of a sudden Deco felt pain. Scans were made and it is small damage in his hamstring."

There has been much debate on the form of Petr Cech over the last week, conceding SEVEN goals in two games. As far as I am concerned you don't become a bad goal-keeper overnight, but Cechie boy has given me a few jitters.

Petr Cech

Perhaps a spell on the bench will re-invigorate him. I have no problem with Hilario taking over - he hasn't let Chelsea down in the games he has played, but HUUS said, "My thoughts about Cech are very positive. Since I have been here he has done very good goalkeeping work, defensively and offensively.

"We don't neglect the reality because we want to be better and better and he knows he had one or two moments when it wasn't going as he wished.

"That is about it because it is obvious when a goalie makes a mistake that there is almost always a consequence of this. The goalie has every now and then a right to make an error as well.

"Cech is an intelligent man and intelligent player. I have not said to him we are going to talk about it for three hours. It has been just the normal analysis. Now I see he is relaxed, enjoying the training and he is working as he did before."

HUSS rubbished claims of Tottingham's Heurelho Gomes joing Chelsea in the Summer. HUSS said, "Not a grain of truth."

Gomes LOL I would rather have Cech in goal LOL.

Bosingwa is still unavailable, John Terry returns from Champions League suspension and Woolwich's list of absentees include Almunia, Sagna, Gallas, Djourou, Clichy and Kieran Gibbs will have a fitness test on a groin injury.

And there is a hoodoo to break. The last time Chelsea beat Woolwich in the FA Cup was back in 1947 (62 years ago). So

No probably cant be.

I'd imagine our fans would be chucked out for singing it though, especially at Ashburton Grove, regarding Ashley getting HIV and all (Sm159)

Like the yids were for singing about Campbell but that may have been more because of him 'hanging off a tree'.

Have Chelsea sold out for tommorow's semi, there's plenty of Arsenal still looking for tickets http://i43.tinypic.com/313he6g.jpg

I'd just tuned up to the radio, hoping to hear an advert about tickets (Sm157).

What's your take on tommorow then.

(Sm6) No I dont go to home games, away only.

Would've loved to go to this semi though but I'm only a lowly red member. Instead of spending 300 on a tout/ wemlbey club level ticket, saved up for Wigan last week (25 quid/ticket) and Anfield on tuesday (Sm3)

There´s a paper on the tube where Arsenal advertise tickets -might have some luck there.

I have to keep reminding myself it´s NOT the final tomorrow. All this wembley business for the semis? Good that more fans can see the match though.

Went to our last (?) FA Cup semi at Wembley when we beat Luton - ONE KERRY DIXON!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

I really don´t know what to expect tomorrow.

Both sides have gone up in form recently (level on current form in the league) and seem more like our old selves.

Then again, Arsenal seem to have a lot of injuries and their defence seems a bit weakened for this reason. But in a match like this anything can happen.

Hopefully the surroundings will gee our players up to eliminate any lax complacency.

It should be an attractive game - could be another classic within a few days of the last one!

Missing four of the back five but got all our attacking players barring Rosicky back so should be OK I reckon.

Is Carvalho going to be fit? (ah just found he is) And is Ivanovic going to play RB again?

Has looked very good when he has come on for us and helped change games.

When he first arrived he wasn´t fit (which is why he played reserve games).

Being cup tied for the CL hasn´t helped his cause as Hiddink has had to keep other players fit before these games.

Important to sign him in the summer (imo) but Inter may want to use him to exchange for another big player.
