The reserves are back in action this evening after a lengthy absence due to the weather when they take on Portsmouth at Brentford's Griffin Park. The game kicks off at 7pm.
Quaresma, Mineiro, Stoch and Di Santo all start and all are hoping to impress Guus Hiddink, who will be at Griffin Park to further his Chelsea education after taking training at Cobham for the first time today.
One player who will not feature this evening and who is not expected to play football again for quite a considerable time is the 'unlucky' Gael Kakuta.
In a reserve team friendly last week, Gael sustained a horrific leg injury in a game against Glenn Hoddle's Academy at Cobham.
We would like to take the opportunity to wish Gael all the best and here's hoping Gael makes a speedy recovery.
Expected in the Portsmouth ranks tonight are Lauren and Younes Kaboul.
Chelsea: Rhys Taylor, Tom Taiwo, Nana Ofori-Twumasi, Liam Bridcutt (c), Patrick van Aanholt, Michael Woods, Fabio Borini, Mineiro, Miroslav Stoch, Franco Di Santo, Ricardo Quaresma
Subs: Niclas Heimann, Jacob Mellis, Frank Nouble, Fabio Ferreira, Morten Neilsen.
STRONG team and good to see effort in getting Quaresma fit.

"It is born out of hypocrisy and fundamental insecurity. There have been two kids on the block for the past 12 years. Suddenly, there is a third and that one is threatening to be more successful than the others and they don’t like it." P Kenyon.

The goal came about after poor Pompey play, the ball broke to Di Santo who was one on one with the keeper, Di Santo chose to pass to Quaresma who scuffed it in to the empty net.
Stoch has just had another chance which fizzed past the far post.
I was just about to say we should really be 2-0 up for half-time with all the play we´ve had.
Good so far although I wouldn´t say that we are firing on all cylinders.

Pompey tried to clear, Stoch flicked on to Ferreira who raced to by line, pulled his cross back and Big Frank flicked the ball in high into Pompeys net.

Watched the boys last night and what a treat.
Couldn't watch that cr*p on setanta there was only gonna be one result there.
I was impressed with quaresma`s attitude he could have gone walkies through the game but instead he applied himself very well and got rewarded for his efforts.
When the other players scored he ran up to them to congratulate them which was nice,he was enjoying it.
Stoch looked pretty good also.Well done boys.
