Torres first words at Stamford Bridge

Fernando Torres has just given his first interview at Stamford Bridge exclusively on Chelsea TV.  After finally getting his wish to sign for Chelsea, the tired looking Madrileño came across as a modest yet determined young man.  Anyway…without further ado – here are the key responses to Chelsea TV’s questions (I’ve been typing in a hurry):

At last!

“I’m so so happy!”

“Finally I’m here…I’ve had 2-3-4- hard days in Liverpool.” 

“I’m a Chelsea player now” 

Now in a top club

 “Sure I’m doing a big step forward in my career” 

“Chelsea is the kind of team I want to play for.”

“I want to play in a top level club in the world – I can do that now….” 

Drogba the best

“Obviously Drogba is the best striker in the world by far, so this is a big responsibility for me …to play at a high level and learn…”

“Terry is  a great captain and the type of player I want to play with and not against…” 

Champions League

“To play in Chelsea is a big motivation….I want to be in this kind of team…” 

“I want to win the Champion’s League and I’m sure I can do that playing for Chelsea who are always fighting in the final stages of the competition”
