Reports are circulating and breaking on Sky Sports News that Chelsea are positioning themselves to hi-jack Tottingham's quest to sign Ricardo Quaresma from Inter Milan.
After Jose Mourinho 'dropped' Quaresma from Inter's Champions League squad, Jose said that Quaresma could leave the San Siro.
The plan was for Quaresma to go to Tottingham with either David Bentley or Jermaine Jenas going in the opposite direction. The transfer window is due to close at 5pm, but the Premier League has extended 'every' deal that can be proved that is being affected by the atrocious weather the UK is under at the moment. Clubs involved in deals have to email the authorities to say deals are 'working in progress' and the Premier League then has to satisfy themelves that the deal or deals will be completed as quickly as possible after the window has closed. More to follow UPDATE: Tottingham have pulled out of their attempt to sign Quaresma. Chelsea are in for Quaresma and SSN confirm this and SSN also say that Scolari and Quaresma both have the same agent.
