Gillingham have completed the signing of former Stevenage Borough goalkeeper Alan Julian on a free transfer. The goalkeeper was released by the Blue Square Premier side having turned down a contract offer, and The Gills beat off League One competition for Julian's signing.
Stimson held negotiations with Julian throughout last week, and Julian was impressed by the facilities Stimson had to show.
Speaking to Kent Online,Stimson said: “He’s been down here, seen the ground and liked what he's seen. He has been impressed and he wants to come in and compete.”
Julian will now be competing with Simon Royce for the number one spot, who recently committed another year at Gillingham last week.
