Ian Cox has finally put pen to paper on a new deal which will keep him at Priestfield for another season. The 36 year old was out of contract, but some fantastic performances towards the end of the season saw Ronnie Jepson give him a new deal to stay with The Gills.  Cox, who turned 36 last March, signed for The Gills from Burnley in the summer of 2003. Since then he has gone on to make 133 league appearances for Gillingham, scoring five goals.


 Cox has also represented Trinidad & Tobago at international level, and went with outgoing Gillingham defender Brent Sancho to last years World Cup, as part of the Soca Warriors 23 man squad. However, he did not feature in any of the three games played.
