England narrowly edged passed Ecuador yesterday to set-up a World Cup quarter-final meeting with Portugal and 'Big Phil' Scolari on Saturday.

David Beckham's 60th minute free-kick was enough to give England a 1-0 victory, and Beckham promptly celebrated by spewing his guts up over the Stuttgart ptich.

Oh how it could have so different had Ecuador's Carlos Tenorio scored after a wayward John Terry header set the ball into his path, but a great recovery tackle from Ashley Cole helped Tenorio's effort to hit the crossbar and bounce away to safety with Paul Robnison beaten all ends up and in no-man's land.

In the fourth of the second round matches, Holland were beaten by Portugal 1-0, thanks to a 20th minute strike from ex-Chelsea 'legend' Maniche. So Arjen hope you have got your bus ticket ready?

In this incredible game SIXTEEN players were booked and another FOUR were sent-off: Deco, Costinha from Portugal and Holland's Boulahrouz and Van Bronckhorst.

Not only will Portugal lose Deco and Costinha through suspension for the England game, but also Ronaldo through injury and possibly Figo, after he was caught on camera head-butting Van Bommel.

In today's action, Italy take on Australia at 4pm and then 'The Shev' is in action for the Ukraine against Switzerland at 8pm

COME ON ENGLAND!
